The Bridge to Everything…

A SCIENTIST ON A QUEST TO HELP THE WORLD RECONNECT

I entered medical school with the clichéd aspiration of wanting to help others, but deep down, I also sought to heal my own wounds. Raised in foster care, navigating life independently from the age of 16, the attainment of a medical degree symbolized success and worthiness—a validation of my journey. Or so I thought—cue the sarcasm.

Medicine seemed like the ultimate solution, the only path to healing I’d known at the time. I yearned to understand the complexities of human suffering, to unravel the mysteries behind pain and illness. Yet, upon completing medical school and ascending to a leadership role within a network of mental health facilities, I found myself grappling with a profound sense of emptiness and disillusionment.

Despite my position, I felt stuck in a bureaucratic system that prioritized diagnosis (aka labels) and medications instead of asking deeper as to why and what is truly causing disease.

It’s like having a fire alarm going off and instead of looking for the actual fire you smash the alarm (symptoms) with a hammer (meditation) and hope that all else goes away.

My own symptoms of sadness, chest discomforts, and anxiety led me to searching outside of medicine and led me to a whole new world that medicine neglected to illuminate for me.

The door opened with the subconscious and hypnotherapy. It led to awakening and a recognition that there was more to healing than what conventional practices could offer. I dived deep into my studies and searched various alternative remedies which has led me here to this moment where my world further collided when Skyla walked into my office.

A story, testimonies and experiences that I have seen over and over again but now it got even deeper…the  power of not just the mind but the power beyond the mind and the spark within science, some may call it spirit some may call is source some may call it a quantum realm and some may feel comfortable with simply saying God.

I call it the missing link that Skyla has bridged.
